Available only at Target, Christina Aguilera's first compilation Keeps Gettin' Better: A Decade of Hits offers a convincing argument that Xtina was the best pop artist the turn-of-the-millennium teen-pop generated. Her squeaky clean early hits like "Genie in a Bottle" and "What a Girl Wants" hold up very well and as the compilation rolls on, her music gets riskier and, yes, better culminating with four new electro-flavored tracks: two excellent new songs and remakes of "Genie" and "Beautiful".

This week, Cheap Trick's classic At Budokan is blown up into a big box set, containing three CDs and one DVD. Two of those CDs are given over to a reissue of 98's The Complete Concert, while the third is devoted to the second show the band gave two nights later at the same venue -- and the DVD captures that same show in a concert originally broadcast on Japanese TV and available commerically here for the first time

"A fantastical and disturbing humanistic freakout!" shouts the cover of the Flaming Lips' seven years in-the-making DVD/CD Christmas on Mars, but the film and its music aren't nearly as overtly wacky or sentimental as might be expected based on that description. The movie plays like a mix of Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch and Ed Wood, while the music suggests equal parts Bernard Herrmann's swirling tension Tchaikovsky's magical, music box wonder and a bit of electronic eccentricity somewhere between Brian Eno and Joe Meek. While it's not perfect, Christmas on Mars offers the impressive multimedia experience that Flaming Lips fans have come to expect.

Each release is a two-disc package including the original album remastered on one disc, and another disc for non-album singles (of which there are many), remixes and alternate versions.

Taylor Swift doesn't sound like her 18 years on her second album, Fearless -- she sounds older, softer and wiser, kinding advising 15 year olds on matters of the heart and singing pop tunes in the vein of Faith Hill and Shania Twain circa 1999. Swift's touch is gentle but her songs are sturdy, making Fearless one of the best mainstream pop albums of the year.

For his third full-length, singer/songwriter/producer T-Pain plays up his "Ringleader Man" persona and presents an urban night at the circus. Since the king of the guest shot has invited all his friends – Akon, Ciara, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, and Kanye West, just to name a few – the big top concept is a great choice and even if Thr33 Ringz sputters in the fourth quarter, it’s T-Pain’s best album to date.
